What is Job Distribution?

Job Distribution

Job distribution is also known as job advertising distribution (JAD). There are thousands of internet job boards ranging from general sites to niche specific (industry, occupational category, location, and even diversity) sites, and every open job can attract qualified job seekers from multiple sites. In the hunt for talent it's imperative to have your jobs posted on as many job boards as possible; yet administratively you need to maximize your time and decrease costs. It is difficult to manage jobs on multiple sites but DataFrenzy makes it easy. DataFrenzy also makes it easier for you to take part in a trial on a new job board or add an additional site to your group since the task of posting the job is not any more labor intensive.

Job distribution by Data Frenzy centralizes your job input and management

From one location, either your Applicant Tracking System that is integrated with Data Frenzy, or directly on the Data Frenzy website, it is possible to input a job only once and select multiple sites to receive your job. We use sophisticated technology to not only post your job to each of your selected sites, but also keep each site updated with any changes you make. DataFrenzy as the industry leader in job distribution, providing job distribution services since 1996, is integrated with virtually every internet job board. In many cases we connect to job boards real-time (i.e. immediately upon insert or update of your job), but in all cases we connect to each job board database at least once daily.

What are the benefits of Job Distribution with Data Frenzy?

Distribution Report

The benefits of utilizing Data Frenzy to manage your jobs on the internet are numerous. We maintain complete control over each job posting on all job boards; when you edit or delete a job our automated systems make the appropriate updates for you. Many of our competitors provide this service, however some have not invested in technology and rely on manually posting and updating your jobs – a wholly inefficient and expensive alternative.

However, what truly distinguishes us is the evolution our technology to include the management of all resumes submitted in response to your job. For our Clients who have invested in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) the desired method of receiving a resume is to direct the job seeker to an Apply Online URL; the purpose is to have the candidate perform the data entry process so that all resumes are in a standardized structured format in the ATS database.

Email Responses Report

Prior to working with Data Frenzy, many of our Clients discontinued permitting job seekers to submit a resume via email; the intent was to get all resumes into a standardized structured format without requiring administrative effort on behalf of the Client staff. The issue is that resumes submitted via email arrive to an email account usually residing on one individual’s hard drive (not accessible to others within the organization), are not in a standardized structured format. But as this exclusive Apply Online method has become widespread amongst companies posting jobs, job seekers began excluding themselves; the amount of time necessary to complete an Apply Online form is at best 10 minutes and averages 30 minutes. A typical job search site displays 20 jobs per page; active job seekers have no choice but to complete the process for each job of interest to them – and they have the time to do it. Passive job seekers, those gainfully employed who may consider a career change, will submit a resume only if the process is relatively easy. The shorter the time required to submit a resume, the greater number of applicants.

Our Clients capture the active job seekers with the Apply Online process, but they also capture the passive job seeker using our resume processing technology. We provide an email address on all job postings; the job seeker can cut and paste a resume into the body of the email message, or attach it to the email. Our systems can read a resume in multiple unstructured formats (e.g. .doc, .txt., .rtf, .html, and even .pdf), parse the resume into structured contact data (e.g. first name, last name, address, city, state, cell phone, home phone, work phone, and email address), structured work experience data for all listed work histories (e.g. name of employer, start date, end date, job title, and duties and responsibilities), and structured educational history data (e.g. name of educational institution, degrees earned, start date, and end date). This information is formatted into an XML document and displayed in a standardized format on the Data Frenzy website or transmitted electronically, real-time, to the ATS.

For every resume submitted to a job posting managed by Data Frenzy, we provide 100% accuracy of the job board source of the resume as well as the exact job to which the job seeker is submitting his/her resume. Coupled with the reporting we provide (or the reporting derived from the ATS) the value of this data is phenomenal in that our Clients evaluate job board effectiveness based on actual placement and hiring statistics, not generalized marketing metrics.

No other job distribution company can accurately provide this data for resumes submitted via both Apply Online and email. It is for this reason that our Client list includes over 500 companies, including the largest staffing firm in the world (as well as numerous staffing firms) and numerous large, global employers.

Additionally, with over 200,000 active jobs we provide content (jobs) to a network of over 1,500 job boards; many of these Partner Sites charge for job postings but accept our jobs to ensure that when they attract a job seeker to visit their site, the job seeker will find relevant jobs (and return to the site). Data Frenzy monitors the responses from all job boards to filter SPAM and the relevance of resumes, and we can turn off all responses from a job board at any time. We assist our Clients in capturing as many qualified job seekers as possible, and not only from the job boards to which they subscribe.
